When implements are sterilized, they go through a machine called an Autoclave (pressurized steam) or another type of sterilizer using chemical v***r?

👉 In order to remain sterile, implements are put into a sanitary pouch, sealed, and sterilized through the pouch. They then remain sterile until the pouch is opened! 🧼✨

Don’t be fooled by UV 💡“sterilizers” which are actually light boxes that do not sterilize properly (or at all!) though a pouch. (These are also BANNED 🙈 in Massachusetts by the State Board!)🙅‍♀️

Also, implements MUST remain untouched (for example: in a sealed pouch) to remain sterile! Heat boxes without pouches aren’t efficient for sterilization either since the paper pouch cannot withstand the heat, ☝️and once the implements are removed, they are no longer sterile.

💁‍♀️ To know if your implements have been sterilized, there is a color indicator on the outside of the pouch that will change colors when the sterilization process occurs. You can see here, since we use an autoclave, ours has turned brown! 🤎
