Flag Day is almost here, and our team at Granen Insurance is proud to take a moment to appreciate the history behind the Stars and Stripes. It’s a symbol we all recognize, but its past is full of stories that might surprise you.

• The current 50‑star design was created by a 17‑year‑old student from Ohio in 1958.
• There have been 27 official versions of the flag, most reflecting the addition of new states.
