I love Camillias !

The ShiShi Gashira camellia puts on a stunning display of blooms this time of year in Louisiana! Pictured is a specimen planted over 60 years ago! The ShiShi Gashira is a Louisiana Super Plant.

This plant puts on a stunning display of dark pink flowers in late fall through early winter. It grows at a moderate pace, reaching a mature size of 4 to 5 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet wide.

ShiShi Gashira shrubs can be grown as a focal piece of the landscape, planted en masse to create a stunning splash of color or grown closely together to create a colorful low hedge. Plant the camellia in full sun to part shade. Camellias prefer well-drained, acidic soils with a pH between 5.0 and 6.0.
