GLP Weight loss drugs will soon be available to Medicare patients under the GLP Bridge Program!

Medicare GLP-1 Bridge | CMS Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the Better Approaches to Lifestyle and Nutrition for Comprehensive hEalth (BALANCE) Model and a separate short-term demonstration (now called the “Medicare GLP-1 Bridge”)

Louisiana pharmacies are now requiring prescriptions for covid vaccinations. Dr. Rose will write a prescription for anyone who wants one - we have a standard form at the front desk or it can be sent electronically. Just call the office and let us know where to send it. For electronic prescription, we need to know what brand to specify (Moderna, Pfizer or Novavax). We are currently seeing a lot of covid infections, however deaths continue to be very low.

Free Narcan is available to anyone over 18 at the Marrero Public Health Unit (1855 Ames Blvd) on Mondays and Tuesdays from 12pm-3pm and the Metairie Public Health Unit (111 N Causeway Blvd) on Thursdays from 8am-3pm. Group or individual trainings on Narcan are also available by appointment by calling 504-349-5639.
