We finally go our son on a train! He’s been asking to ride one for about 8-9 years now. The Durango to Silverton and back had some wonderful views, and it was wonderful to make that wish happen for Will. 💙

Ouray, Colorado is a dog friendly, gorgeous little town with friendly people, and stunning views. Lots of places are within walking distance, and many beautiful, historic buildings are well maintained. Prices were a lot cheaper last week of May before peak season. Would definitely want to go again someday!

Random idea I had last week lol.

I knew as soon as they mentioned kites in our lit study Where the Mountain Meets the Moon that I wanted to give them a try!

They were quite the struggle, and another project for them to practice building that frustrating tolerance.

The directions I found to make them weren’t as good as I thought and we made some adjustments along the way.

I kinda want to make them again sometime just because I know we’d make them even better the 2nd time!

We do school Monday-Thursday, but I can easily adjust days if needed.

Can you guess what we are going to make this week based on these materials?

And boy do they love it when they get to make and eat something. Lol

I often felt out of place in a lot of social groups. Never really felt like a “normal” person. So to be able to have a microschool for students who feel the same way is a dream. 💙

I knew when I saw the project that it was gonna be our Mother’s Day project. Students proud about all the work and love they put into these!
