Ramírez is a remote, rural community whose only local access to medical services is a Ministry of Health “health care promoter” who conducts monthly medical consultations on the front porch of a resident’s home. This improvised, open space discouraged residents— especially women—from attending their health checkups.
With no public transportation, the only alternative was a 4-mile walk to the nearest town. An emergency trip to the nearest clinic or hospital? Cost prohibitive.
Ramírez needed another solution.
The local church in Ramírez, “A Voice of Hope Church,” recognized the community’s need and solicited help to create plans to build a LOCAL health clinic.
ENLACE is excited to partner with them on this initiative. But guess what? You too can become a partner!

Over the past year, thousands of churches asked ENLACE to help them mobilize their
congregations and partner with community leaders to create poverty solutions. In response, our team designed a new, more scalable training program.
Under these upgraded programs, 104,626 people were served by community development initiatives in 2025!

Tina and Sam Magar traced a human trafficking route from North India to its source in their homeland of Nepal. There, parents were promised work opportunities for their children abroad, only to never see them again. Efforts to “rescue” or buy back girls’ freedom had failed. The only solution, Tina concluded, was ENLACE’s holistic approach to transformation at the individual, family, and community levels. Everything short of that led girls right back into slavery.
A staff of seven ENLACE Nepal leaders has now trained 580 leaders in 80 communities to carry out 70 projects a year impacting 25,000 people a year. Tina was right! Human traffickers are powerless to prey on communities that work together to provide opportunity and hope. ENLACE Nepal is now expanding operations into Katmandu, which we expect to enhance our strategic alliances with the international nonprofit sector.

The Great Commission calls us to make disciples of the nations. And today, we can.
The internet and inexpensive travel have created unprecedented opportunities to fulfill these mandates, but not all efforts to do so truly help those we aim to serve, and some fall short of honoring God.
Ron Bueno’s free ebook “Multidimensional Poverty” is a good place to start if you’re looking to understand poverty at a root level and make a difference. Download the ebook by using the link on our website for a short, valuable read.
What happens when a project is completed? WE CELEBRATE!
Last year Una Voz de Esperanza Church, the local Community Development Association, and community leaders identified the need to construct a community health clinic in the impoverished hamlet of Ramirez. 130 families would directly benefit from a local community health clinic, indirectly benefitting 30 families from the surrounding area.Community health clinics in rural El Salvador are vital in bridging the healthcare gap in areas where medical services and education are scarce.
We are grateful to Crossings Community Church and Summit PA Church for their help completing this project!
