Cherry angiomas are minor benign vascular abnormalities of the skin.  They are also sometimes referred to as senile angiomas or Campbell de Morgan spots.

Cherry angiomas appear as bright red (explaining their ”🍒 cherry” name!) to purple dots of blood. They can vary in size from a tiny pinpoint to larger lesions that can approach a centimeter in diameter. A cherry angioma can develop as a flat lesion, in line with the skin’s texture, or over time become a raised lesion.

Cherry angiomas are generally harmless, although they can be aesthetically displeasing to many people, depending on where they appear or their number.
