If you are asking yourself what viscosity means, here is a quick summary: Oil viscosity is how easily oil pours at a specified temp. Thin oils have lower viscosity and pour more easily at low (colder) temperatures than thicker oils that have a higher viscosity. Thin oils reduce friction in engines and help engines start quickly during cold weather.

This comes in handy when you own a vehicle with a Diesel engine, or you are the person that jumps in your vehicle, starts it and takes off before the vehicle even has a chance to know what happened.

With all this being said, no matter how big of a rush you may be in. Try giving your vehicle a 30sec-1min run time after you start it and (before you shift into a gear) to get oil slung into all of the nooks and crannies of the engine block. It will extend your motors life and keep it running strong and lubricated.
