This is deeper than comics.

36 years ago, my cousin was murdered in Philly for being Puerto Rican.
I’ve carried that pain ever since.

In 2025, people joke about alligators wiping out Hispanics.
I’m not laughing.

My comic BOCAS was born out of this pain.
It’s my voice. My resistance.
And I’ll keep fighting—with art, with truth, with pride.

While others celebrate the 4th, I remember.
I create. I speak. I stand.
