Recap of The 3rd Annual Blossoming Ceremony for F.L.O.W.E.R.S. at MHS. Event was held at MHS’s Multi Purpose Room on Thursday May 14th 2026.

Highlights from the night includes Kavida Nixon’s Original Poem “Who are you?”, Baylee Coker’s musical selection “Just as I Am”, Precious Munquia’s musical selection, ”My Help”, and Jaden Moseley’s address as a Graduating Senior, Ambassador, President, and Founding FLOWER Member. This night was celebrated by parents, mentors administration, and community leaders. The night was filled with affirmation and empowerment by the guest speaker. Michelle Hedgemon. Founders Aisha Key and Dr. Daniella Carson thanked all stakeholders, with special recognition to Mr. Miller, Dr. Amy Carter, and Dr. Rosiland Operton in their support of the mentoring program. This is just one more Wildcat mention of all the greatness happening on the campus of MHS.

The Freshman Academy came together today for an amazing end-of-the-year luncheon filled with laughter, appreciation, and reflection on a wonderful school year. Our teachers and staff are incredibly grateful for the amazing Academy Principal, Mrs. Karen Burton, whose leadership, dedication, and support continually remind us how valued and appreciated we are as a team.

As Friday approaches, it marks the end of a chapter for some, while serving as a new beginning and strong foundation for others joining the Freshman Academy Team. This year has been filled with growth, teamwork, unforgettable moments, and countless successes for both our students and staff.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this school year such a meaningful one. We are proud of all that we accomplished together and excited for what’s ahead. Here’s to rest, relaxation, and recharging over the summer as we prepare for another great school year! 🧡📚✨
