I’m in the middle of navigating something hard and overwhelming for me, that triggered old trauma wounds I haven’t been faced with in a long time.

Normally I wait until I’m on the other side to shares the lessons and tools from a more healed place. But going through this experience reminded me that there are things I do in real time that I often don’t share so vulnerably, because it’s so sacred to me.

The sacred tools are the most powerful. And since I’ve been leveraging them so desperately and it’s given me relief, I feel a strong desire to share it.

1️⃣ When processing feels TOO BIG and TOO HARD, I drop to my knees in prayer. Then I take several minutes to close my eyes and visualize that I am sitting with the Savior and everything that is too hard and too complex I had it over to Him to untangle for me. When I do this I can literally feel the weight and overwhelm dissipate, and it feels manageable again.

2️⃣ Sleep. Sleep, sleep, sleep. If it’s too much, go to bed ASAP and allow your body to process in the safety of your bed. It’s amazing how much work your subconscious and body and do while you rest. When you wake up you’ll be better prepared to navigate the hard stuff from a more grounded place.

But what about the anxious and intrusive thoughts that keep you from falling asleep? I choose to write and release (see next point) or distract with an audiobook until I fall asleep. May not be the healthiest but my goal is to fall asleep as soon as possible. It works for me.

3️⃣ Write and release. I write on a paper “I feel [strongest emotion] because… 3 different paragraphs using the same emotion each time. Then I tear that thing up and destroy it and toss it into the outside garbage bin. The helps release the overwhelming charge.

I follow-up with prayer and affirming declarations to refill my body and aura with good things.

4️⃣ Happy essential oil aromatherapy. Get the diffuser going!!! It’s effortless and does a lot of emotional heavy lifting and transmuting work for you.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to spend time in-person with several of my mastermind peers and Wise Women friends: , , , and so many more. I brought my husband along too!

We had the best time in Salt Lake, UT last weekend at the Affluence conference which was hosted by and and featured April Hiatt and from my mastermind as speakers. 🤩

Each speaker was so brilliant, and I took away valuable insights from each of them. 🙌🏼

I always gain so much from “getting in the room” with others who are doing impactful things. It energizes and inspires me. I’ve discovered that building community, masterminding, and elevating others is a huge strength of mine.
