No intended target was publicly identified in the Nevada case, but churches have repeatedly been targeted by trans individuals (Covenant School, Abundant Life, etc.). We continue to call churches to use these incidents for threat assessment while remembering our mission: reach people with the Gospel and help them repent and find freedom in Christ.
We’re also seeing insiders (pastors, volunteers, attendees), gang activity on church property, and the reality that people in crisis often flee to churches. Situational awareness — especially during off hours and parking lot times — is non-negotiable.
