SWAG would like to give a BIG shoutout to the Merced Healthy Leo Lions Club for their generosity and thoughtfulness!
The club recently reached out to SWAG to see if we knew of any young adults who were away attending college and could benefit from a special care package.
In recognition of Mental Health Week, the Merced Healthy Leo Lions Club prepared and shipped 50 care packages filled with assorted mental health and wellness items to college and university students with ties to our community who are currently attending schools throughout the United States. Several packages even made their way to Hawaii!
What an amazing gesture! Being away from home can be challenging, and something as simple as receiving a thoughtful care package can make a huge difference in a student's day.
On behalf of SWAG and our college students, we want to express our sincere appreciation to the Merced Healthy Leo Lions Club for thinking of our young adults and showing them that their community continues to support them, no matter how far away they may be.
This is what community partnership is all about! Thank you for making a difference! ❤️👏🏽
