Valentine’s Day is about love — and for 30 years, love has been at the center of The Riekes Center’s story. On February 14th, 1996, Gary Riekes opened the doors to our current home and officially established The Riekes Center as a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit — turning a heartfelt vision into a lasting commitment to our community. He imagined a place where people would be empowered, supported, and challenged to grow. A place with No labels. No limits.
Thirty years later, we celebrate not only an anniversary, but a legacy.
What began as one man’s vision has flourished into a thriving network of support — one that has served thousands of participants, championed countless goals, and is rooted in connection and belonging.
As we celebrate this milestone, we’re filled with gratitude for every participant, family, coach, instructor, donor, and supporter who has been part of our journey. The love that started it all continues to fuel our mission today — and will carry us forward into the future.
Thank you to the entire Riekes Family!
