Milk Update

We are beyond frustrated.

After waiting for today’s results, our inspector just informed us that the lab never plated the bacteria test that was needed. That means we have to start the process all over again.

The inspector will be back tomorrow to collect another sample, and we’ll have to wait another 24–48 hours for results.

As a small family farm, this is incredibly upsetting and completely out of our control. We just hope this doesn’t interfere with having fresh milk available for the July 4th weekend.

Hi Guys...
Unfortunately, our latest test results still showed an elevated bacteria count within our system, so we will remain unable to sell raw milk at this time.

This is certainly not the news we were hoping for, and it is an uncomfortable topic to discuss because we take tremendous pride in producing clean, healthy, and safe milk for our customers.

Our inspector will be back tomorrow to go through the system with us and collect another sample. Since lab testing takes 24–48 hours and we're heading into the weekend, we may not have another update until early next week. 😔

While this is frustrating, this is exactly why we test regularly and maintain our license. We are committed to doing things the right way and ensuring the milk we sell meets the standards our customers expect.
