FEBRUARY IS AMERICAN HEART AWARENESS MONTH

The purpose of American Heart Month (February) is to raise awareness that heart disease remains the #1 killer in the U.S. and to encourage Americans to adopt heart-healthy lifestyles, focusing on prevention through diet, exercise, managing weight, and controlling blood pressure and cholesterol. It serves as a national call to action, spotlighting cardiovascular health and promoting steps to reduce risk, including learning CPR, and is marked by events like National Wear Red Day to draw attention to the cause.
