Congratulations are certainly in order for John Griffith, Vice President — Director of Administration. Not only did he recently receive a promotion, but he also graduated from TN Bankers Association Southeastern School of Commercial Lending as a member of the Class of 2026. John graduated with 41 classmates and becomes part of the larger network of Tennessee Bankers to have gone through the two-year program. He was one of four Honor Graduates in his class. In addition to doing a week of intensive in-person training each year, he also completed four home study projects. Well deserved, and a job well done!

We're so excited to announce that Chondrea Black, Senior Vice President of Compliance & Loan Operations at Paragon Bank, has been recognized with the 2026 Bank Compliance Leader Award, presented by Compliance Alliance, in recognition of outstanding leadership, commitment and contributions to the compliance profession and the banking industry. We have a whole lot to celebrate this June! We're wishing these Paragon Team Members a very Happy Birthday!

Two weeks ago, we granted our 21st wish with Make-A-Wish Mid-South! We had the honor and privilege of granting the wish of Joelle, who wanted to go to Romania and visit Peonari Citadel, the once-home of history’s famous (or infamous!) Vlad the Impaler. Paragon team members recreated an episode of Hollywood Squares, renamed Paragon Squares, for Joelle to compete in. Nine staff members acted as celebrity contestants, all while dressed up according to Joelle’s favorite things. Two additional staff members acted as the host and other contestant. Categories and questions all revolved around things Joelle liked, including the television show Supernatural, Greek mythology, X-Men comics, the color orange and more. We loved having Joelle and her family here, as well as our Make-A-Wish friends. It’s one of the highlights of our year!
