Movies and TV shows casting across the US Backstage compiled a list of movies and TV shows casting across the US.

STAAR Theatre at Antoinette Hall is calling all actors and actresses to participate in a live, emotionally powerful Mock Crash demonstration during the 2025 SunDrop Festival.

This dramatic reenactment will take place at the STAAR intersection (Madison and First streets) Saturday, June 14, at 2 p.m. (Call time is 10 a.m.) and will be staged in collaboration with local and state emergency services.

STAAR was asked to participate specifically to cast and direct realistic performers for this intense, one-take event intended to educate the public — especially young drivers — about the devastating consequences of distracted driving.

Casting Details

STAAR Theatre is casting the following roles:

• Mother

• Young Teen (ages 13–15)

• Child (ages 9–12)

• Driving Teen Boy (boyfriend, distracted driver)

• Driving Teen Girl (girlfriend, passenger)

• Father (not in crash, arrives in panic)

• Bystanders 1 and 2 (friends of teen drivers)

All performers must be able to handle intense emotional scenes, stay in character with no breaks and wear trauma makeup. This event will be filmed for potential training and educational use. This is a live performance — one take
only.

Waivers and image/video releases will be required.

Rehearsals and safety briefings held at STAAR Theatre prior to placement.

Light refreshments and lunch provided by STAAR.

THP Sgt. Stephen Ellis will narrate the event live to the public via a PA system and jumbotron, explaining each step in the emergency response process as it happens. This is a fully immersive, emotionally realistic scenario meant to leave a lasting impression on festival attendees.
