Seventy years ago today, a charter was signed creating a nonprofit that would change the Mid-South forever. What began as a bold vision has grown into a legacy of artistry, connection, and unforgettable performances.

To everyone who has been part of our story—our artists, audiences, donors, volunteers, partners, staff, and friends—thank you. You are the reason we're celebrating this incredible milestone.

ABOUT: Accused of a crime he didn't commit, Benjamin Barker, a London Barber, is sent to Australia by the evil Judge Turpin. Now serving a dark and vengeful god, he returns to London 15 years later and now goes by the name Sweeney Todd. Upon learning of the death of his wife, amongst other updates while he was away, Sweeney takes it upon himself to seek revenge. Befriending a lonely crazed woman, he enlists Mrs. Lovett’s help to apply his razor to unlucky customers while Mrs. Lovett prepares their corpses for her meat-pie shop, but he won’t be satisfied until his razor finally falls on Turpin. Swing your razor high, Sweeney!
