YOUTH SYMPHONY (YS) - Kalena Bovell, Conductor
- Full Orchestra: strings, winds, brass, percussion, harp
- Advanced experience level
- Ages ~13-18 (no age limits)
- Four local concerts per season (including a possible Side-by-Side concert or rehearsal with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra)
- Annual Concerto Competition
- Rehearses Sunday from 5:30-8pm at The University of Memphis

Yesterday we got to hear so many wonderful student performances, and we can't wait to hear even more today as we wrap up Summer Performance Lab! BRAVO to everyone who performed! 🎶
It's been such a fun week of making music together. We've loved watching students grow in confidence, try new things, and support one another along the way. Everyone has done an amazing job!
A big thank you to our incredible instructors, presenters, guest artists, and staff for making this week such a great experience. We couldn't do it without you! 💙💛🤍

Day 3 of MYSP Summer Performance Lab!
Today students continued a great week of music-making with ensemble rehearsals, masterclasses, and a special workshop focused on audition skills and preparation.
All week, students have had the opportunity to learn from faculty and guest artist performances each afternoon. Tomorrow, we’re excited to turn the spotlight over to our students and hear them perform! 🎶
