Ballet Memphis

Happy HAPPY birthday to Iori Araya! Iori is completing her SIXTEENTH season(!) of professional dancing, and has been at Ballet Memphis since 2017 when she had her debut with George Balanchine’s Square Dance.

She says she embraces her performance anxiety before she goes on stage because the nerves actually help her perform well.

She describes herself as adaptable, emotional, and lucky, and wants you to know “Thank you always for the warmest support! I’ve been loving getting to know some of the audience members in person and dancing for you all throughout the years!”

THANK YOU for showing up for these students! The final show was sold out completely, and you could tell they all felt the love. Another huge thanks to the YBM students who have been dedicated for years to their ballet practice, and the YBM parents and parent volunteers who supported them through it all! What a fantastic weekend for everyone!
