Located on what used to be an old 50’s strip with a theatre, diner, retail store and soda fountain/drug store, Newby’s now has a pool hall, concert hall, bar, dining area and full sized patio. The bar/restaurant area offers live music, in a mid-sized venue attached to the bar, as well as small acoustic acts barside, in an intimate setting-and the open-air back patio is always available for private parties. Home of the world famous “EZ shooter” (Orange Flavored Vodka and an easy mix of fruit juices served chilled & up as a shooter.) Also, Newby’s has a fully stocked bar and extensive beer selection. From the front patio, you can watch the hustle and bustle of busy Highland Avenue while you sit back and enjoy a cold beverage. Newby’s menu is varied and offers a bit of something for everyone. The house favorite is the Marinated Chicken Sandwich, it’s said Newby’s sold the first ever Chicken Sandwiches. The same one since 1975, way before Dave Thomas!
