Pamela Rooks is a divorced mother of four sons. She was born and raised in Memphis and recently returned back to Memphis after living in Atlanta. She says that she is participating in LipSync Plus because she enjoys performing. Meet one of our finalists! (She won last year, by the way.) Latasha Peeples!!!

Latasha R. Peeples is a single 33 years old lifelong Memphian. Her loving grandmother Addie L. Mitchell took her in when she was seven weeks old and means the world to her. Latasha says her grandmother is the wind beneath her wings.

She chose to participate in the LipSync Plus this year not only to defend her title from last year but to also help the Plus-1 Program raise more money. The program helped Latasha and her grandmother when they needed assistance with their utility bill. She wants to pay it forward and help the program as much as she can. She also wants to inspire others and let them know that no matter what circumstance you have dealt with in the past, it doesn’t determine your future. You can become a success story only if you believe.

She has chosen an inspirational song that was very popular in the early 1990’s; it’s a song about bringing people together and helping each other! Her motto is “Believe In the Impossible.
