UP & UP WEDNESDAYS: Play Point Guard With Your Heart Curry, Iverson, and Rose: these point guards can teach us a few things about getting emotionally vested in any project or connection: 1. Know how to control the ball. And by ball I mean your emotional investment. The less you emotionally dribble all over the place, the faster you can move through the court of life. 2. Set the play and the pace. Control the tempo based on the clock (timing), the stamina of the players (endurance), and the play (project/connection). Be wise about when to rush the ball and when to slow it down. 3. Only pass the ball to open players Don't emotionally invest in unavailable, defense locked, or injured players who cannot properly handle the ball. Your strategy about emotional investments will determine if you win or lose the game.
