Meet Lisa, our incredible Contract Administrator, who has been an essential part of the MNB family for 18 years. Throughout her time here, she has brought professionalism, care, and a steady presence to every project she touches.
Reflecting on a project that stood out, Lisa shared, “The Shelby County Schools Administrative Offices at Grays Creek comes to mind. I was involved from beginning to end, visiting the site every month until completion.”
When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Lisa added, “Interacting with the Owners and Contractors.” Her ability to build relationships and keep projects moving with grace and precision has made a lasting impact over nearly two decades.
We’re so grateful for Lisa’s dedication and the difference she continues to make at MNB. Here’s to celebrating her remarkable contributions and to many more milestones ahead.

Today marks two wonderful years with our talented Senior Interior Designer, MeLeah. From the very beginning, she has brought warmth, creativity, and a collaborative spirit to our team. What she values most is the chance to build lasting relationships with clients while uncovering creative solutions alongside her colleagues at MNB.
Reflecting on her journey, MeLeah shared, “The most memorable project that I have worked on was One City Church in Memphis. It was the first project that I worked on with MNB and it was a complex job with intricate details. It was fast paced, and changes came quickly. The project kept me on my toes, and I learned a lot during the design process.”
We are so grateful for the dedication, artistry, and heart MeLeah pours into every project. Here’s to celebrating her contributions and looking forward to many more years of inspiring design together.

MNB Architecture is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our senior partner, James (Jim) Boggan, AIA. Jim courageously battled cancer for several years, overcoming it twice, but after a brief third struggle, he passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, September 16, 2025, with his beloved wife and daughter by his side.
Our entire firm will miss his character, his love for architecture, and his extraordinary talent for design—especially his gift for scale, proportion, and detail.
Like Jim, we will press on, carrying forward the inspiration he gave to all who knew and loved him.
Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this time of both sorrow and victory. We take comfort in knowing that Jim is now in a far better place than he was just hours before.
All communications should be sent to the firm as directed below, and we will immediately share them with his family.

What does MNB stand for?
Behind those three initials are the lives and leadership of David McGehee, Lee Nicholson, and Lynn Burke. Since 1961, their vision has shaped a practice rooted in the belief that architecture should serve people, strengthen communities, and endure across generations — a belief that continues to guide us today.
What they began was more than a firm. They established a culture of thoughtful design, meaningful relationships, and service to community — values that remain the foundation of who we are.
In the weeks ahead, we’ll share more about our founding partners, highlight historic projects, and reflect on how their legacy has carried forward into the practice we’ve become.
Because for us, what MNB stands for isn’t only history — it’s a living legacy.
