The Braid is a local, woman-led nonprofit committed to amplifying mental health awareness, access, and advocacy in our community. Through our partnership with the Shelby County Youth & Family Resource Center-YFRC, local therapists, and local youth serving organizations; Youth Connect provides Shelby County youth (ages 13–18) with access to 12 free therapy sessions with trusted local therapists.

We are deeply grateful to Brown Missionary Baptist Church and all of our generous funders who have invested in this work and awarded us the resources to continue serving our youth. To date we have served over 500 youth and held 2000 Sessions in less than 2 years. Because of you, therapy is becoming more accessible for families across Shelby County.

The Braid Foundation serves to amplify mental health advocacy, awareness, and access here in the Midsouth. We are so honored to be supported by fellow disruptors, but most importantantly change agents right here in our community. This Thursday, December 11th at 8 PM, Chaos for a Cause is raising money to support our work and to continue support for youth and adults that want to invest in their mental health. 🌨️🖤Chaos for a Cause🧠💧returns with a night centered around the reality of seasonal depression and the power of community. Join us as we channel the heaviness of winter into something meaningful.

🧠This show is to raise funds for The Braid Foundation. 💕

This organization is dedicated to providing mental health support and creative programming for youth and adults.
Our goal is 💰$250 and ✨every dollar past that will be split among the performers.✨
