Brandon for Memphis

For the last few weeks I have reminded silent on this issue. This is due to the fact that I refuse to be the type of politician or person who spreads misinformation because I am misinformed. However, the time for my research is up and in this statement ( second slide is in Spanish) I state that my position is unequivocally on the side of the people of Palestine! This is not a war based on religion but a genocide based on the unlawful removal of a group of people. I hope this statement will bring awareness of the situation, and will persuade my colleagues to voice their position on the issue because as Desmond Tutu said,”If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.”

As we hit the one-week mark since the votes were tallied, Team Brandon thinks that it’s important to share these data points with you all! I hope these points will inspire not only the next generation of change makers but our current change markers! I hope this stands as a testament that you can do anything when you put your mind to it, even when everybody is saying that you can’t! I want everybody to remember that every historic event had smaller events that led to it and this is just one event on my path to make history!
