Humility is one of the most valuable traits a person can possess. Minimizing your ego opens the door for understanding and learning. We like to think that we “know what we have to do” which is usually only true to some extent.

When the follow up question “well why aren’t you doing it” is proposed, we fumble with the ability to provide an accurate response. Just be honest and keep asking why. A lot of times the answer is “because I don’t feel like it” and we don’t process any deeper than that.

There’s a reason that you don’t feel like doing what’s good for you even tho you know it’s good for you. Figuring out what that psychological reason is will shape your perspective and make you feel differently. The process isn’t quick but eventually, you will have a different attitude toward your own habits and desires; as well as the habits and desires of the people around you.

You will no longer be in wonder, you’ll know.
You will negate the idea of things happening to you and accept that every situation that life presents is happening in your favor, regardless of how negative it may seem on the surface.
You will start disassociating yourself with the things that don’t serve you and lean into the things that do.
You will come to a deep realization.
You will feel like changing.
You will change.
