The Falcons Flight Team is a student organization at Florida Tech. The Flight Team competes under and is sanctioned by the National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA). Members compete for various positions on the team for both ground and flight events for the opportunity to represent the team at a regional and national competition. NIFA runs safety and evaluation conferences (SAFECON) only

That’s a wrap on .aero National SAFECON 2026! The team finished 16th in the Judges Award! Two teammates also achieved individual awards, with Braden Kearney finishing 9th in IFR Sim and Devin Andrade finishing 19th in Power Off Landings! A special thank you to our advisor Karl Blumfelder and coach Dr. Donna Wilt for all their support this year. Congratulations to all our team members for all their hard work this season!
