🚗👶 It’s National Child Passenger Safety Week!
Let’s kick things off with an important tip: Car seats should not be used on golf carts or low-speed vehicles (LSVs).
According to the Manufacturers Alliance for Child Passenger Safety (MACPS), child restraints are designed for use in standard passenger cars and multipurpose vehicles—not alternative vehicles like golf carts. Using them outside of these approved settings may not protect your child as intended.
✅ Here are 5 quick safety tips for kids on golf carts:
🧒 Wait until kids are at least 6 years old before allowing them to ride.
📏 Follow state and local laws—kids under 12 must be properly restrained.
🚦 Only allow licensed drivers to operate the cart.
❌ Never drive with a child on your lap.
🔄 Take turns slowly—golf carts and LSVs can tip easily.
Let’s keep our little passengers safe—on and off the road! 💛
