Owl & Ink, a new mobile bookstore serving Northern Virginia, will launch July 20 at Silent Book Club at The Casual Pint in Merrifield. Owner Stacie Malinowski plans to bring the bookstore to events across Fairfax, Prince William and Fauquier counties, with a focus on fiction and Virginia independent authors.

๐Ÿค– Self-driving robots start delivering Uber Eats orders in Arlington today

Uber Eats customers in Arlingtonโ€™s Rosslyn-Ballston corridor can now choose self-driving Avride robots for deliveries from participating restaurants between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. The sidewalk robots travel up to 5 mph, use cameras and LiDAR to navigate, and are permitted under Virginia law for local deliveries.

๐Ÿš“ Local and state police can enforce traffic laws on GW Parkway, starting in July

Starting July 1, Virginia and local police will be allowed to enforce speed limits and other traffic laws on the George Washington Memorial Parkway under a new state law signed by Gov. Abigail Spanberger. The law also lets local agencies seek federal permission for speed cameras, but the National Park Service has not announced any plans to approve them.
