As the U.S. celebrates 250 years, continues to reflect on our technical contributions in service to America's most complex challenges — including protecting the health and well-being of our communities.
One example is a cyber resiliency tool for the health sector — the RISC 2.0 Toolkit. A joint effort with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response, the freely available RISC 2.0 Toolkit helps nearly 4,000 health systems nationwide plan for and mitigate ransomware and other cyberattacks.
The outcome: Hospitals and care teams stay operational during emergencies — when communities need them most.
It’s our responsibility as a leader in federally funded R&D to advance systems and solutions for the nation.

Throughout her career at MITRE, Judith has helped advance systems-of-systems engineering while contributing to work spanning mission engineering, AI, and emerging technologies.
