I am grateful to 2020 for being the year that brought the world to its knees and forced us to reassess many of our 21st century ways of living.⁠⠀

2020 showed us how to accept what we cannot change. Showed us that the best laid plans can be subject to change or simply evaporate into the ether.⁠⠀
۰⁠⠀
We've seen 'untimely' death and illness. It's no doubt been a very trying and challenging time for so many. And yes, we've seen unprecedented levels of mental health issues emerge.⁠⠀
۰⁠⠀
But we've also seen the world, communities, neighbors, and strangers come together in ways not seen for a long time. Random acts of kindness around the world have shown us that our humanity is very much alive and well.⁠⠀
۰⁠⠀
And perhaps 2020 has given us the greatest gift, that of ACCEPTANCE. To know that though we cannot always control some events and circumstances, we can accept with grace what unfolds no matter how difficult or against our will it may appear.🌚⁠⠀

Drawing near to the end of 2020 and all I can think about is how fast, yet how slow this year has gone 🤷🏽‍♀️⠀
