Reeves, a board recognized specialist in fluency disorders provides private therapy services for children and adolescents who stutter. Private therapy takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings throughout the school year, and special sessions are open during the summer months. Reeves also presents practical and interactive training workshops to speech-language pathologists at local, state, national and international levels.

This whole part of the episode, which happens at minute 9, is so good. Giving ourselves grace and understanding why we all feel these fears is necessary in order to dig deeper and work through it.

Nina adds that we’re making progress in society on this - and I agree - but it still informs our initial fears and worries.

And this is why I post what I do. Misunderstandings about stuttering are often from those who care and don’t mean harm - but have been influenced by society. But it is harm, and we must normalize pointing these things out so that we can all do better.
