The updated ENSO European Plumes are out today and are showing an even stronger El Niño developing! The El Niño this winter has a high probability of being the strongest ever recorded [in 150-years]. Nearly all members of this plume reach +3-4°C late this fall and winter. For comparisons sake, the 1997-1998 Super El Niño was around 2.3°C and 2015-2016 El Niño was around 2.45°C. Today's output isn't erroneous - the current evolution of the equatorial Pacific Ocean's sea-surface temperatures, when compared to previous events, support this notion.
