The new quail cages are in use. Accidently threw the screws away for the support brackets, so it was a quick trip to the hardware store to get what was needed to get this project wrapped up. Put some extra roosters, Splash, and our charcoal grey collection in them. The plan is to use this caging setup for Celadons!

Coffee cups, pens, business cards, and brochures came in the mail this afternoon!

The pigs are still out enjoying all this snow! We have a few large hatches upcoming. If anyone is in the market for some jumbo quail chicks, get ahold of me.

I have hatched thousands of chicks at this point. Opening the hatcher on hatch day still makes me smile as I did on the first day.

I got an email today that our business cards and brochures have shipped. They should be arriving in the mail next week!

The pigs are out enjoying the snow today! They have a shelter full of deep bedded straw, but I guess the snow sounds way better!

Our farm is officially NPIP certified, that means we can now ship hatching eggs out of the state of Michigan!

Orders are going to open up for spring sales on March 1st

Pigs drink 1.5 to 2 times more than they eat!

Averages are:
Grower Pigs weighing 60-100lbs drink 2-3 gallons a day!
Finisher Pigs weighing 100-250lbs drink 3-5 gallons
Gestating Pigs drink around 3-6 gallons a day
Lactating drink 5-10 gallons
Boars drink around 5 gallons!

Fresh clean water is so important for critter care!
