SpaceX aims to launch the most powerful rocket ever built Monday morning from South Texas. Thirty-three Raptor engines will power the Super Heavy booster and Starship rocket off the launch pad on the first test flight of the fully-stacked, nearly 400-foot-tall launch vehicle.

Liftoff is scheduled for 8 a.m. CDT (9 a.m. EDT; 1300 UTC).

SpaceX said Tuesday it won't perform a final countdown dress rehearsal this week for the giant new Starship launch vehicle, and and could send the rocket — standing nearly 40 stories tall on its Texas launch pad — on an around-the-world test flight as soon as next week.
