Team MAYAmazing

April 21st is Acute Myeloid Leukemia Day (AML). Though it is rare, accounting for only about 1% of all cancers overall, AML is also the most fatal type of leukemia; taking the lives of more than 10,000 people yearly. Unfortunately, one of those people was Maya Collins, who Team MAYAmazing was named after.

It is a type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow with excess immature white blood cells.
AML progresses rapidly, with myeloid cells interfering with the production of normal white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets.

Although Team MAYAmazing’s time with the Student Visionaries Campaign is over, we are still hoping and fighting for better treatments and research for AML and other cancers; in hopes that one day, we will all live in a world without cancer.

Each enclosed Certificate provides resort accommodations for 7 nights for up to two or three rooms, depending on the resort (the number of rooms is specified on each Certificate). All the winner has to pay for is their air transportation and the required nightly all-inclusive supplement of $135 - $255 per person depending on the resort. The All-Inclusive supplement covers dining (breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks), unlimited beverages by the glass (including alcohol), and resort activities including non-motorized watersports.
