er years of working for the state of Georgia as an engineer, he stumbled into the jewelry business when he started buying gold, silver and diamonds for another master jeweler in town. When people began asking him to repair their jewelry, he sat down at the bench and learned the trade from a Master Jeweler. Things were going so well for him that he opened his own store. The rest, as they say, is history. He enjoys his customers, and loves talking with and helping each of them. Robert has been with the store for over 17 years. He began as a part time customer service representative, developed into an excellent jeweler, and is now the store manager. He is always ready to help you with your purchasing needs, but spends much of his time on the repair bench. He will repair your jewelry as if it was his own, and will usually have it ready for you within two days. Some repairs are done while you wait, but this depends on the repair and how busy the shop is when you are there. Michelle has been a long time employee of The Gold Shop, working and living in other areas since starting here in 1984, but has spent over 25 years within our walls. She is very knowledgeable about jewelry and the jewelry business, and will go the extra mile to find what you are looking for. With many years spent on the repair bench, she is able to recognize jewelry issues and give excellent advice on repair or replacement options.
