Still Spa

A letter from Ash💜🥹
To all of you:

It’s hard to believe it’s been 23 years since I first picked up my shears. Even back then, I knew with confidence that becoming a hairstylist was the path for me. From braiding my teammates’ hair on the volleyball bus to tightly curled prom updos for my friends, my hands have been entwined in hair for as long as I can remember.

I chose this career not because I didn’t have other options, but because I simply wanted to do something I loved. What I didn’t realize then was just how many ways I would.

I quickly learned that doing my job well had very little to do with, well…hair. Sure, people needed to leave happy. After all, no one comes in asking for Jennifer Aniston hair wanting to walk out looking like Joe Dirt. But more often than not, it was about the connection more than the color.

What I never expected was that I wouldn’t just gain clients, but friendships that felt more like family. My clients were never just another name on the schedule. They were men and women who trusted me with their hearts as much as their hair. We’ve walked through job losses and miscarriages, marriages and first haircuts, trials and tears, joy and major milestones. Through it all, we’ve done it together.

Which is what makes this moment feel nearly impossible…yet necessary for the next chapter.

I’m forever grateful and forever changed by every person who has ever sat in my chair. Thank you for trusting me, supporting me, laughing with me, crying with me, and allowing me to be a small part of your story. My story wouldn't be the same without you💗

My days behind the chair have officially come to a close, but I can’t help but feel excitement for the adventures ahead. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: be careful when you get too comfortable, because sometimes that’s exactly when God steps in and flips your world upside down…in the best way.

So what's next you might ask... you'll still find a piece of me at Still Spa as some of my fav clean beauty products and other favorite things will remain in the boutique. And you just might still find me popping in to say hi or taking a dip in the cold plunge🥶

As for this next season, my family has some new and exciting adventures unfolding. Business is in our blood, so you'll find me supporting my husband and crew🚂🛠

And of course, I'll be carrying on my writing, @ Her Soul Is Beautiful where I've been working on lots of exciting things behind the scenes, all inspired by you and for you🖊📖
