A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the Peter White Public Library last night for an engaging evening with Jim McCommons! It was wonderful to hear him discuss his book The Feather Wars and the fascinating history, research, and stories behind the book.

"What an immersive experience! I was compelled to read it in one sitting... who needs sleep..Like a lot of multifaceted experiences, parts of this were more accessible to me than others. Still, it's impossible not to be affected by the pages and pages and pages of numbers. Visually, it hit really effectively.
Sometimes it reads like a stream of consciousness or a journal, sometimes memoir, sometimes history. Often art. Always my heart hurt.
