HTEI is committed to creating and supporting a community that fosters a sense of belonging, where all historically marginalized members feel seen, heard, respected, and celebrated.

Education. Exposure. Outreach.

These principles are at the heart of how HTEI builds community and they came to life at HTPride Pride & Progress Community Night.

Hosted by the incredible team at The JFKLiving Team • NJ Realtors , the evening brought together more than 40 nonprofits, organizations, and community groups, creating opportunities to connect, learn, and discover the many resources that help our community thrive.

Because belonging grows through more than celebration. It grows through conversation, visibility, and showing up for one another.

Of course, there was plenty of joy, too; from Quizzo with the incomparable Iris Spectre/Dylan Kepp to a crowd favorite drag lip sync battle by Drag Queen Entertainment LLC . Together, they reminded us that learning, laughter, and community can all exist in the same space.

HTPride has never belonged to one person or one organization. It belongs to every volunteer, committee member, sponsor, municipal partner, business, performer, nonprofit, and neighbor who chose to show up.

One community. One shared drewmdream.

HTPride is a visible reminder that LGBTQIA+ people are seen, valued, celebrated, and belong here. That kind of belonging is only possible when a community chooses to build it together. This is what Full Circle looks like.

While Pride Month is closing, the circle is not.

A four hundred foot Pride flag brought our community together along Haddon Avenue. Volunteers reached for it and neighbors joined them. No single person could carry that flag alone, so all of us carried it together, all moving in the same direction at once. Nice work became good work. Good work became good trouble. That is what Full Circle looks like in real time.

Thank you for being part of our sixth annual event. This demonstration of unity and joy has the power to create positive change. It already has. Join us as we reflect on what it looks like when community continues to show up for each other. Thank you again to our 2026 Parade Sponsor Cooper University Health Care . We’ve always believed that strong communities are built by people who show up for one another, not for recognition, but because it’s the right thing to do.

Muhammed M. Emanet has embodied that belief. Through countless partnerships with HTEI, he has opened the doors of Jersey Kebab to serve others, donated thousands of dollars in food and resources, helped organize our community-wide Feed the Need and A Seat at the Table initiatives, supported families experiencing food insecurity, and created spaces where people from every background feel welcomed and valued.

Together, we’ve served hundreds of meals, distributed essential supplies, and strengthened the bonds that make our community thrive. Behind every sandwich made, every meal shared, and every act of kindness is someone who has consistently chosen compassion over convenience.

Community isn’t just where we live, it’s how we care for one another. Muhammed has reminded us, time and again, that when we invest in each other, everyone is stronger.

We support Muhammed just as he has supported so many of us. Because doing the right thing and showing up for those who have shown up for our community matters.
