We got a Ford F-350 King Ranch in — and I’ll be honest, this one’s been through it.

This is a true work truck, heavily used, and the King Ranch leather shows it. Rips, cracking, etching — this isn’t something you can fix with a simple clean.

And for those that know, real King Ranch leather can’t just be hit with a basic APC. It requires the right process, and even then, there’s only so much you can do when it’s worn to this level.

Our goal here was to clean it up and condition it, bringing back as much hydration as possible to help preserve what’s left.

A couple weeks ago a customer told me his Tesla was only lightly dusty with some pet hair. No stains, no marks — just a quick touch-up. Based on that description, I told him we could probably handle it under our basic service, but if we discovered anything deeper, there could be an additional charge. He agreed.

When the vehicle arrived today and we started our inspection, it quickly became clear the interior needed much more work than a basic service. Before starting the process, I informed him that the detail would require additional work and cost. He decided to stop the service and pick up the vehicle, which I completely respected.

Situations like this highlight something important: what a customer sees on the surface is often very different from what a professional detailer sees deep in the carpets, seams, and crevices.

Because of this experience, new customers will no longer be booked under our basic service without a proper inspection first. We will start with the top-tier package, and if the vehicle ends up needing less work, we will gladly adjust the price accordingly.

This ensures the job is done right and avoids confusion for everyone involved.
