Hope For Stomach Cancer

Blood transfusions are a quiet but critical part of cancer care that support patients through surgery, chemotherapy, and treatment-related anemia. Behind every transfusion is someone who simply showed up and gave.

We want to take a moment to honor the memory of Irene Aragon, who organized blood drives during her own battle with gastric cancer. Even while fighting, she was thinking about others. That kind of generosity is what this community is made of.

This run is held in loving memory of Irene Aragon. A remarkable woman who fought gastric cancer with courage and grace, and who passed away in November 2023.

Irene believed in showing up for this community. Her family has carried that mission forward, and so has everyone who joins us each year.

The Warriors of Hope 5K is a celebration of life, a tribute to courage, and a reminder that no one faces stomach cancer alone. Runners, walkers, survivors, caregivers, and advocates are all welcome.
