Peppermint received her present early this year from Santa, her forever family with Wendy, Tommy, TJ and Johnnie. Super happy for everyone.
Can anyone offer advice we received this plea for help.
“I’m struggling to buy food for my three rabbits right now cause I had surgery about a week ago and I’m still recovering. If you could help me find a program that could donate some hay and pellets that would be greatly appreciated! I only need enough for about a week until I can return to work. Anything would help me right now. Thank you so much for your help. “

Looking for a forever home: Peppermint was with us three years ago, where we pulled her from the shelter sadly she was there for a while before we got her. We adopted her out, however she was just returned, family states she was destroying the carpet. Peppermints foster mom is still evaluating her, what we know is she is a big sweet gal, but has developed slight cage aggression, we are working with her on that. A rabbit experienced home where she can be kept on a hard floor, (to avoid and potential damage )in a xpen or free roam is best, with lots of social interaction and activity. She is a happy girl during free roam she has started to binky. She is about 6 years old and spayed.
Email [email protected] for application and to schedule home visit.
Happy Autumn from the Rabbit Report! After the lazy days of summer, autumn is a great time to take stock of your rabbit’s environment and perhaps update and replace items as needed in order to keep your rabbit’s environment clean and safe. Items that may need replacing include the litter box, throw rugs and hidey homes or cardboard boxes for chewing. It is also a good time to check the rabbit proofing measures you have taken to be sure everything is still in good shape and protecting your rabbit. In addition, toys can be switched out in order to continue to provide your rabbit with fun and interesting playthings. This can also be a good time to remove your rabbit to a safe space and give his or her living space a good cleaning, being sure to avoid harsh chemicals. Utilizing some or all of these tips can help in maintaining a clean, safe, and enjoyable living environment that your rabbit will surely appreciate. Have a great day!!
Welcome back to the Rabbit Report where the topic this month is shedding. House rabbits shed every three months, alternating between a light and heavy shed. It is a good idea to brush your rabbit weekly for maintenance and to get him or her accustomed to brushing which will take place daily when a heavy shed begins. Finger brushing can be used on a rabbit who does not like the feel of a brush and is effective for removing a lot of fur. Rabbits like to keep themselves clean and can ingest the fur if it is not removed during brushing. This can cause a life threatening blockage since rabbits cannot vomit to remove ingested hair from their system. Regular brushing is essential as a preventative measure. Rabbits shed differently with some taking a few weeks to shed and others shedding much more quickly. It is not uncommon for rabbits to have bald spots when they are shedding. Not to worry, the fur will grow back within a few weeks. Frequent brushing will help keep your rabbit healthy and looking great – wishing you and your rabbit a wonderful day!
