Yesterday was a little bittersweet. 💙🇩🇪✨

We gathered to celebrate our sweet foreign exchange student, Miley, as her time here in Texas comes to an end. What started as an opportunity to host a student quickly turned into gaining a family member. ❤️

Miley has brought so much joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories into our home. From sharing traditions and experiences to creating memories we'll cherish forever, she has truly left a lasting mark on our hearts.

While we're sad to see her return home to Germany, we're so excited for her next chapter and all the adventures that await her. We know this isn't goodbye, it's simply "see you later."
Miley, thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. We love you, we're proud of you, and we can't wait until our paths cross again.

Safe travels back home. Germany is getting a wonderful young lady back, and we're sending a little piece of Texas with you. 🇺🇸❤️🇩🇪

It’s been one of those weeks at SimpLee Southern…

We’ve been creating, engraving, stitching, and building some really special projects, but unfortunately, we can’t share them just yet because they’re gifts that haven’t been given out. 🎁

On a more personal note, this is also our last week with our foreign exchange student, Miley. ❤️ What started as welcoming a student into our home quickly turned into gaining another member of the family. We’re soaking up every minute we have left before she heads back home to Germany.

So while the shop may be a little quieter on social media this week, we’re making memories both in the workshop and at home.

As a military family, this day holds a special place in our hearts. With roots in both the Army and Coast Guard, we understand the sacrifice, dedication, and love of our country that so many families carry.

Today we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Their courage and service will never be forgotten.

As we spend time with family and enjoy the freedoms we’ve been given, may we take a moment to remember those who gave everything for them.
