We're bringing you more of this robust and gorgeous freshly dug ginger tomorrow at Hudson farmers market. Did you know that the greens are also edible? They are a bit tough, so best used to flavor a dish, and then pulled out before serving, or in tea.

Wow, only two markers left for this season. So bittersweet to be coming to the end of market days in Hudson. What will you miss most? We'll miss all of your smiling faces, as well as our favorite market treats.

Our produce selections for tomorrow's market: lettuce, kale, chard, chinese cabbage, bok choy, cherry and slicing tomatoes, carrots, radishes, summer squashes, garlic, fingerling potatoes (only a few left!) ginger, celery, bell and Italian peppers, and jalapenos.

Join us on the Hudson green from 9am-12:30pm tomorrow!

Today is the final day of this season that you will find Maple Dell's farm fresh produce at the Mantua Christ Lutheran Church. Stop by between the hours of 4-7pm and indulge in a bounty of produce picked fresh this morning. We'll have lettuce, swiss chard, kale, beans, cucumbers, slicing and cherry tomatoes, and a lovely assortment of summer squashes, including some especially tender cousa squash, a staple in Lebanese cuisine.

You can continue to find our produce at the Hudson farmers market for the remainder of the season; until October 7th. We will also continue to harvest on Tuesdays for our most loyal customers, so if you are interested in picking up fresh produce at our farm on Tuesday afternoons, please send us a message and we can let you in on all the details.

While you are stopping by for your produce, you can also grab a jar of our delicious jam, a bag of Good Earth Roaster's invigorating coffee, or one of our lovely native plants.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by at our booth over the summer. It has been such a pleasure to meet so many of our community members and serve you with our produce grown free from agricultural poisons.

We were awoken in the wee hours by a tornado warning and the sound of a roaring wind that induced a pell-mell dash for the basement. A severe thunderstorm that showed rotation on the radar passed through at 60 mph, leaving us without power and snapping four of the trees on the farm in half.

An attempt to start up the generator this morning proved futile, necessitating a trip to the hardware store for a rental so that we could wash our produce for market tomorrow.

Despite the inauspicious start, we managed to pull off our harvest day, and are pleased to bring you our usual selection of vegetables, including a bountiful harvest of cherry tomatoes. Here in the photos are Nova--the yellow grape tomato that stole the limelight last week at the tasting; indigo cherry, and Lucky Tiger. We love each of these tomatoes, and yet each has their own uniquely delicious flavor profile. This past week I tried roasting the lucky tiger with a mixture of farm fresh vegetables. Roasting concentrated the natural sweetness into an intense burst of flavor that was addictively tasty.

Our produce selection for this week's market: lettuce, chard, kale, tomatoes, beans, fingerling potatoes, summer squashes, beets, onions, jalapenos, and garlic.
