Are your books tax return ready?

Do you have items that have not been recorded or have items in 'uncategorized income or expenses'? Are your bank accounts and credit card accounts all reconciled? Are your fixed assets recorded? These should be reviewed so you have a better idea of your financial picture.

There should be no balances in the unclassified assets, unclassified liabilities, unclassified income, unclassified expenses, clearing, or 'ask my accountant' accounts. These are holding accounts. If there is a balance in any of these accounts, they need to be researched and reclassified to an accurate account.
