Did you know Community Action Programs have been making a difference since 1964? That’s over 60 years of fighting poverty and strengthening communities!
This past May, we celebrated National Community Action Month, shining a spotlight on the incredible impact of this work.

Our MVAC Thrift Stores joined in by selling “I ❤️ Community Action” sheets, helping raise both funds and awareness for this important mission.

A huge shoutout to Autumn for being our top seller. Way to go, you were a rockstar! Just look at those covered walls (and this was just one section)!

Thank you to everyone who purchased, supported and helped us show just how much our community cares!

MVAC staff coming together to share some good news. 💙
Moments like these remind us why we do what we do—supporting our community and each other.

Tiffany Van den Einde and Tonya Kahle enlightened us with their inspiring presentation at Rotary today, sharing the impactful work they do at MVAC, and highlighting the numerous ways they empower individuals to overcome challenges and make strides towards a brighter future.

It truly takes a community to power Community Action. During MVAC’s recent All Staff Day, our team came together for a memorable and meaningful team-building experience—assembling bikes for the communities we serve. The plan? Build the bikes together and host a drawing in each county the we serve, spreading both joy and opportunity.

Needless to say, it was an incredibly fun and rewarding day for everyone involved. While our enthusiasm was high, our bike-building expertise was… a work in progress! That’s why we’re especially grateful to our coworker Jeff and Key City Bike for stepping in to give each bike a careful final check. Thanks to their support, every bike is now road-ready for its new rider.

Moments like these remind us what’s possible when community partners come together—thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success! 🚲
