수경선배를 처음봤던건 아마 내가 대학교 4학년(2007-2008년도경?) 이었을거다. 선배가 어떤 이벤트에 전지연 퀄텟을 초대했고 (내가 데뷔한 첫 재즈밴드💙 애정하고 존경하는 ) 그 연주하러가서 처음 만나 인사했던거 같다. 그 후에도 몇 번 이런 이벤트 자리에서 만나 인사했던 기억이 어렴풋이 난다 그때도 선배는 범상치않은 패션과 헤어스타일을 하고 있었던게 기억이 나는데 다시 선배와 연락이 되었을때 선배가 인플루언서인게 매우 납득이 되고 신뢰가 가더라😉

나는 인연의 힘을 믿는다 그것이 나를 지금까지도 끌고와준 원동력이고 나는 실제로 그간의 인연들을 통해 보다 나은 사람이 되어가고있다고 생각하기 때문에 ㅎㅎ 수경선배는 인스타를 통해 다시 연락이
되었다. 선배는 성공한 커리어 우먼이면서도 인스타에서도 영향력있는 분이 되어있었고 아들 키우는 육아 선배이기도 하기때문에 많은 귀감이 된다. 여튼 그런 선배와 이번에 함께 작업하게 된건 너무 즐겁고 도파민 뿜뿜하는 시간이었다. 선배가 쓴 케이팝 스러운 음악 위에 니가 하고싶은대로 해봐? 의 컨셉은 나조차도 궁금할 지경이었으니 🤣 간만에 대학시절 생각도 나고 재밌었던 작업이었다👍🏼 선배 고마워요😘

Although we went to the same college, I didn’t meet Sookyung until my senior year around 2007 to 2008, when she invited the Jiyeon Jeon Quartet, the band I made my debut with in the Korean jazz scene, to perform at one of her events. We crossed paths a few more times after that, and I still remember her bold fashion and unique style even back then, so when we reconnected and I saw she had become an influencer, it made total sense.

I really believe in the power of connections. They’ve carried me to where I am today. Reconnecting with her through Instagram and seeing her as a successful career woman, an influencer, and a mom has been truly inspiring.

Working together this time was so much fun, honestly a dopamine boost🤪 She gave me this K-pop style track and said, “Just do whatever you want,” which made me curious too. It brought back so many college memories, and I loved every part of the process. I’m really excited to see how it turns out😘🥰😎
